kids were here ~ take 12

I cannot believe this is the last entry for this project.

I have had so much fun reading other blogs and learning from a

wonderful group of photog friends. I am so thankful to be a part

of this group!

I have to mention that doing this last entry comes with a heavy heart.

I am so proud of our smart, sweet and beautiful daughter. She is now 18 and graduating

High School. I sit back in awe of her and wonder where life will take her.

This past month I have been going down memory lane a lot and it is so

sad. I am so excited for her for the next journey in her life but so sad because

she's not 5 anymore or snuggling with me or whispering little girl secrets in my ears anymore.

These photos I posted are just little reminders of how she would leave her homework out on the

table and just felt like making her bed was "a waste of time because I'll be back in it in a few hours".

I know that all of you know just how fast time can go. And I know that you cherish

every minute you can of Family and Friends.

I also know how we are all blessed with our kids.

Thank you everyone for this project. This one has meant a lot to me.

kids were here ~ take 11

As we are nearing the last month of our project I can't help but

to stop…... and take a look through the previous posts.

Our Daughter is Graduating this year. We couldn't be more proud

of her and yet I really miss when she was younger.

Conner is at a fun age, too, 12 yrs.

I came home from work a few days ago and always have to find

both kids to give a hug and find out how their day went.

I go into Alyssa's room to find her Prom dress and

her Graduation gown hanging on her door.

I have to say, tears came quickly and hug felt tighter and longer.

I love that we are doing this project and hope to continue

doing more. Especially when it comes to my Children, Family and Friends.

Love when you ask the kids to put away their stuff, toys, or

whatever it may be and…….the corners seem to be the place

it goes. That, or under the bed!!

February has Valentine's Day and…..

my kids' Birthdays.

Lyss turned 18 yrs and Conner is now 12 yrs.

Lyss is into working out and water bottles. She didn't

Cant believe it's been 8 months already for

this project. It has been a learning process and a lot of

fun. Homework has not been as much fun recently.

Maybe because the weather and everyone is stuck inside

a lot.

Makes me laugh, though, that my Son feels

his little friend needed to learn some things about Science.

oh what fun we had!

Every shopping trip leads to more spoiling and

probably buying more than what we should.

time I get to spend with her.

For some reason when I walked by and saw MY boots

sitting at the front door, I had to chuckle a little.

Never did I think we would be blessed and lucky enough

to have a beautiful Daughter that would actually like something

that I wear!

This month I focused on our Son- Conner. An 11 yr old with a
wonderful imagination and is full of energy.

kids were here ~

kids were here ~ take one!

I am lucky to be involved in another 12 month project with
a group of fun, wonderful, talented group of local photographers.
The project is called "kids were here".

We have a Beautiful, Fun-Loving, Wonderful 17 yr old Daughter (Alyssa).

I dedicate this month, along with many more projects, to her.

Walking into her room we never know what to expect or what we
might find. From clothes on the bed, on the floor and hanging on the door to
jewelry hanging on the doorknobs or spread out on her shelves we
shake our heads and a smile to comes my face. These things might be a
mess to some people but these will be the things I will remember and will
miss when she no longer lives at home.
I love this project- it makes me stop to realize the important things in life.

What "Our Final Month" looks like!

"Our Final Month !!" looks like.

I cannot believe that we are at the end of our 12 month Project.

To me it was a fun, positive and learning experience.

I am so excited to continue on the adventure with more projects and

to learn more from the talented Photographers in this group.

Thank you to all of you and I feel blessed to be in our group.

I am so excited to be in a 12 month photography project with a wonderful group of fun loving and talented photographers. We will blog each month and the theme will be "What ___ looks like." We will fill in the blank and link it to the other photographers for 12 months.

I have always LOVED photography. I love capturing those "special" moments, those moments that we feel might be missed, the moments that take our breath away. Life is short and its easy to take things for granted. Step back..........grab a camera............and make some memories.

My wonder Husband - Randy- had to leave us for 12 wks to Georgia due

to a Promotion he was blessed to get with his Job. Our Son- Conner- and Myself

were lucky to be a part of his Graduation.

Conner was so excited- mainly about the flight!

Although he was happy to finally see his Dad again.
